Minimum for machine quilting services is $45.00 regardless of the size.

MACHINE QUILTING SERVICES

All-Over Pantograph Quilting from $2.00 - $4.00 per square foot.
Pantographs are quilting patterns designed to go from side to side on your quilt. Chosing a pantograph allows you to have a quilting pattern that you like AND one that fits your budget.  Often, the more simple panto patterns are the least expensive method of quilting. However, there are many very complex pantos that are more expensive due to the complexity, denisty and amount of thread used. Pantos are broken down into three pricing categories, A, B and C, that range from $2.00 - $4.00 per square foot.

Meandering   from $1.50 per square foot
Meandering is just as it sounds. The quilting meanders all over your quilt, providing a simple, yet effective treatment for your quilt top. May be medium or large in size and can include other details such as leaves and tendrils. Meandering tends to blend into your quilt, allowing your piecing to stand out. Meandering is also useful for utility quilts, that will be loved and washed frequently, such as baby quilts, lap quilts, car quilts, etc.

Custom Quilting  from $4.00 per square foot
Custom quilting is any quilting that is designed specifically for your quilt. Quilting is designed with your quilt pattern in mind. This includes motifs, border treatments, special requests, stitch in the ditch (SID), circles and other forms of quilting.

Batting

You may supply your own batting or purchase batting from us. If you choose to send your own batting, your batting must be pieced as needed, cut squarely and be a minimum of 4" larger than your quilt top on all four sides. That equates to 8" added on to each dimension.  Please leave it in the original packaging.  This allows us to know the kind of batting it is, as well as read the quilting requirements listed on the package. Remember to read the package before purchasing it. Some less expensive battings require that the quilting be extremely close together. Using batting of this kind will result in a higher quilting estimate.  You have put a lot of time and money into piecing your quilt top, it deserves quality batting! It is more wise to spend your money on a higher quality batting that will endure over the years.

We carry three types of batting at this time. Brief descriptions of each are listed below.

Warm Co. Soft & Black
This black batting is made of polyester. It is perfect for dark quilts on which a light or white batting may show through.  It is soft and has slightly more loft than the Hobbs Heirloom 80/20. It is 90" wide and $7.00 per lineal yard for machine quilting customer.
Warm & Natural Batting

This low-loft 100% cotton batting is a favorite! It is warm and relatively thin, yet weighty. When washed, this batting provides the shrinkage many quilters desire for that "antique" look. It is 90" wide and available at $9.00 per lineal yard for machine quilting customers.

Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 Batting

This batting is 80% cotton and 20% polyester. It has a little more loft than most 100% cotton batts and is lighter in weight than Warm & Natural. It may shrink up to 5%. Dense quilting will result in a flatter finished quilt, while less dense quilting will have a bit more loft. This batting is approximately 96" wide and available at $9.00 per lineal yard for machine quilting customers.
